TATUAJE
El tatuaje fue diseñado y realizado por MarÃa León en colaboración con Sebastián Milla, tomando en cuenta las expectativas de cada uno con respecto al relato, el estilo y las imágenes que ambos quisieron compartir.
El diseño es una mezcla de iconografÃas chileno-peruanas, combinadas con el tipo de ilustración que MarÃa ha desarrollado como tatuadora. AsÃ, gráficas provenientes de la cultura andina como el retrato del Dios Inca Viracocha y el Inti, grecas de la cultura mapuche, las flores brillantes que hacen referncia a Santa Rosa de Lima y animales de Chile y Perú como los condores, el puma, el leopardo y las llamas, se mezclan para tomar forma en el brazo de Sebastián.
El tatuaje fue pensado como una especie de metáfora para referirse a los conflictos históricos y territoriales entre ambas naciones, sucesos que han marcado con sangre la historia de Chile y Peru. Además, esta implicita una reflexion entre el que daña y el que es dañado, la disposición de un hombre al ser tatuado por una mujer y otras dinámicas que hacen referencia a distintas relaciones de poder.
The tattoo was designed and produced by Maria Leon in collaboration with Sebastian Milla, taking into account the expectations of everyone with regard to the story, style and images that both wanted to share.
The design is a mixture of Chilean-Peruvian iconography, combined with the type of illustration that Mary has developed as a tattoo artist. So graphic from the Andean culture as the portrait of the God Viracocha and Inti, frets of the Mapuche culture, bright flowers that make high benchmark to Santa Rosa de Lima and animals Chile and Peru as condors, pumas, Leopard and flame, are mixed to take shape on the arm of Sebastian.
The tattoo was intended as a metaphor to refer to the historical and territorial disputes between the two nations, events that have marked with blood the history of Chile and Peru. In addition, this implied a reflection between the damaging and it is damaged, the arrangement of a man getting tattooed by a woman and other dynamics that refer to different power relations.
